Timon Wientzek is an award winning composer and sound designer for Film and TV. Timon moved from his home in Germany to Toronto in 2007
to study audio engineering and sound production, and over the years, shifted his focus to composing for film and television.
Timon's work is influenced by his background in songwriting and playing in bands as a multi instrumentalist, and is greatly inspired by the likes of Philip Glass and Ennio Morricone.
His versatile approach and ability to work across multiple musical genres helps support a wide variety of on screen narratives and projects. His original music can be heard on television programs for major Canadian and international broadcasters including CBC, CTV, TLC, FOX, ARTE,
MTV as well as in feature length films and documentaries that have premiered at TIFF, HotDocs and more. Most recently he completed a residency at the Canadian Film Center as part of the Slaight Music program, chaired by Marc Jordan and Lesley Barber.
He is one part of the Toronto folk pop band and together with songwriter and singer Ashley Jane they write songs and compose
music for Film and Television as a duo.
