Timon Wientzek
Timon Wientzek is an award-winning composer and sound designer for film and television. Originally from Germany, he moved to Toronto to pursue a career in music production and composing for film and television.
His versatile approach and ability to work across multiple musical genres helps support a wide variety of on-screen
narratives and projects. His original music can be heard on television programs for major Canadian and international broadcasters including CBC, CTV, TLC, FOX, ARTE, MTV as well as feature-length films and documentaries that
have premiered at TIFF, HotDocs and more.
Most recently he completed a composing residency at Norman Jewison's Canadian Film Centre as part of the
prestigious Slaight Music program, chaired by Marc Jordan and Lesley Barber.
He is one part of the Toronto folk-pop duo 'In the City' whose songs are regularly heard on television
programs around the world.
